Rating of environmental protection and conditions – June 2025

In survey conducted in June 2025, CVVM addressed environmental issues. Respondents were asked about their interest in information on the state of the environment and whether there was sufficient information available, how the Czech Republic was protecting the environment, and they were also asked to evaluate the activities of selected authorities and institutions in the field of environmental protection.

Seven out of ten respondents said they were interested in information about the environment in the Czech Republic.

Half of respondents said they had sufficient information about the state of the environment in our country, while 45% said they did not.

According to four-fifths of respondents (77%), environmental protection in the Czech Republic is adequate, while 15% said it was insufficient and 4% said it was excessive.

In the area of environmental protection, the activities of municipal authorities (68% positive responses), environmental organizations (59%), and the Ministry of the Environment (58%) are rated most highly.

The activities of parliament (32% positive responses) and the government
(42%) are rated lowest.

Due to changes in CVVM research methodology, the results of the presented survey are not directly comparable with the results of previous surveys. More information about the new methodology can be found in this press release.
