The New Coronavirus - Interest, Expectation and Attitudes towards Measures - June 2021

In its research, the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on the coronavirus crisis and citizens' experiences with it. In June, more than three-quarters (77%) of Czech citizens over the age of 15 were interested in the situation regarding the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

In connection with the spread of the new type of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, approximately three-quarters of Czech citizens concerned about the health of their loved ones (74%) and deteriorating economic situation in the Czech Republic (73%).

Almost two-thirds (63%) of Czech citizens consider what the Czech state has done against the spread of coronavirus as appropriate, and about a half (49 %) consider measures to support the economy to be appropriate.
